This is just a thought 🤔 last few weeks I've been working sooooo hard and sticky to my Carnivore eating, and gaining weight. So since last Sunday my weekly weigh in I decided to eat more .... like a bit of mashed potatoes a little bit of this and that but not going totally overboard and voila I was afraid of getting on the scale and to my amazement I lost weight -1.7 lbs 😳so I'm puzzled??? but happy. So now I'm considering doing partial Carnivore. What do you think 🤔????

Consider adding fruits and meats. They are satisfying and healthy

I think that carnivore is an extreme elimination diet that has uses it dealing with some issues, but when it comes to weight loss, I think focusing on high protein in a calorie deficit is the key. That being said, If partial carnivore helps you maintain consistency with your protein and calorie targets, then I say do it! There is no “right way” after all. There’s just what’s best for an individual. If, for you, that’s partial carnivore, do that and let your results talk louder than other people’s opinions. 😎

I don't believe extreme elimination diets are healthy or sustainable in the long term. Even when you get positive short term results, they can disappear when you return to a more balanced diet. As a diabetic, my long term diet plan is low carb, but not keto levels, and high protein. Everyone is different and needs to do what works for them. Sometimes it takes a bit of experimenting to find what works.

Cornflower4u...are you trying to put your body into ketosis? Your extremely low carb intake will explain why you haven't been feeling so great. It's called keto-flu. If you continue with the non-existant carbs, the symptoms can last a week or 2 until your body can adjust to the change in the food that you're eating/not eating. I'm really happy to see that you did add some carbs to your diet, as weight loss is all about balance. Our body needs carbs to function properly - carbs are what feeds our brain! These elimination diets can really screw with the way your body functions because our bodies need the essential nutrients and antioxidants found in ALL food groups. Even wild carnivores will eat wild grains, fruits and vegetables to sustain their bodies 😏 Good luck in finding your balance!! ❤️

not all carbs are bad 😏 just the highly processed stuff. if it came from nature then it's good, as long as it still looks like it did when it left the farm 👍

I'd be careful with the carnivore diet, too much red meat is linked to CAD, heart attacks, strokes and can also lead to certain kinds of cancer. My family is half mennonites and a lot of their diet includes butter, red meat, eggs and minimal starches and heart problems run rampant.
