Good Evening, FS Warriors! I would have exercised today, except I could hardly move already after working outside all day. I have been tearing apart dividing room curtains that we removed from the church. They are really heavy, consisting of metal rods hinges, and rollers, with vinyl coverings over both sides. I figure I will eventually use the metal rods, and plates for crafts. I also have a pretty heavy drop bucket conversion, out on a concrete pad, that I had to get up off the pad onto some bricks. I intend to sell this thing in the spring, and didn't want it to rust before that happened. A drop bucket is what they had before tractor front end loaders. This one is for a Ford 8N or similar tractor. I already have a front end loader, so I'm just going to use the Ford 8N for mowing, post hole digging, and maybe landscaping.

So far, dieting is not an issue; when I'm busy outside I don't think about food. A problem that I have discovered though is that I don't drink enough water. That's something I never had to worry about at work. I always had something to drink sitting on my desk. Anyway, this retirement thing is going to be a learning experience - but a wonderful thing also!

Hope everyone had a great Monday. Toodles!

Just take it easy DK! Your projects aren't going anywhere and you have plenty of time now to work on them. Retirement is great. You just have to pace yourself with the jobs you create for yourself. No one says you can't take a few breaks. :0)

Maybe you'll have to wear a fanny pack with a water bottle!

Sounds like you are liking retirement so far!!! Drink that water, keep a water cup with you all the time and sip away.

Being busy in retirement is a good thing. I do a better drinking water at work, I notice when I'm home I often don't drink as much.

Did better today on the water. It just takes a conscious effort to hydrate - kind of like when running - but it's easy to overlook when you're just working around the homestead, especially when it's cold. If you're sweating, you know you need to keep hydrated.

First thing I ever drove was an 8N Ford! It was GrandDad's. My husband tried to find out who bought it at the sale and try to get it back but wasn't successful, it was too many years ago.
