Hello everyone...How does the Bulletproof Coffee work?, if it does. Trying the LCHF for the moment, without much of a result.

How long have you been on? It takes time for the body to adjust. There is still such a thing of overdoing it on LCHF, but don't worry about that in the beginning. Some people's bodies are so fat starved that it is normal, and a good thing in the beginnng. After adjusting, fat should not be viewed as a fat loss miracle, but a replacement for carbs. BPC works by helping control your appetite.

Just looked at your Calender. Are you logging everything? Is so, you may need a little MORE fat or maybe cut down to 20 carbs. Some people are REALLY Carb sensitive. If that doesn't work, I would personally get my thyroid/hormones checked. Good luck to you figuring it out. Don't give up!

Good to see you are posting again. I drink a lot of coffee, it isn't true bullet proof, because I use 1/2 & 1/2. but it does help control my appetite. And, it is comforting on a cold day. I do measure the amount of cream I put in by keeping a tablespoon for measuring cream by the coffee pot.

I only use 1 tbs coconut oil in mine to save on calories. You MUST blend it in with something, not just stirred. I have it in the morning first thing and am not hungry til afternoon. It is to the point that I really miss it if I can't have it, on vacation for example!

AURORA !! your back pretty lady!! so glad to see you here again! hugs .. anyway, the LCHF prolly took me like 2 -3 weeks to see a significant loss but it was also my 3rd try and I am over 40 now and I feel like that slows things down some. Stick with it every day and you will see results.. for me BP coffee. i use the kerry gold irish butter, some coco oil and I add to coffee in blender and zoom zoom it and it ready but what I also extra that I dont see any one post much about is i add heavy cream to mine, maybe a splash of coco milk if i have it and a stevia packet.. makes it more frothy and I like the taste.

Hello everyone. So good to be back. Thank you all, FatgirlJenny, diehard3, Rckc, and Redgirl,for the advice. You really make a difference in my life. When I am getting off the wagon, I am hiding, as a rule...Yes, I started again, I am in day 10 of LCHF. I am doing the Bullettproof coffee, exactly your recipe, Red, and I love it. I think that overall I need more protein, and probably not even 1-2 over 20 carbs a day. My exercise regimen has stopped since december, because of all kinds of little irritating little things, like leg joint hurting a little because of a stupid fall, stuff like that. So, I bought a new scale, as my old one kind of died, and I am holding this as a good start :-). I have to lose 70 lbs and this is not optional....Much admiration for all of you, staying focused and doing well. I miss you guys.

Aurora, even if you fall off the wagon, dont hide, stay here, the motivation will help you get back on.. and maybe even keep you from falling off again. We've all fallen, me personally this is my 3rd time on this site and the 1st time its ever stuck so long.. we got your back lady !!

I learned today that it works when I measure for portions. what i thought were 3 portions was really 7. OUCH it was carbs too.

the bulletproof coffee adds a lot of fat, which helps you to get into ketois. if you like it for the flavor make sure you get organic" virgin unrefined." it has the taste & smell of coconuts. I made the mistake of regular organic had not smell or taste and the coffee was awlful. Now I love it and some time replace a spoon of cocoa instead of the coffee. Goooood stuff, also feels you up and keeps you from getting hungry.
