Tuesday is here, and I'm hoping it's a more successful day than yesterday. Yesterday was stellar until the evening when I let bad habits just slip right back in. But today I'll get back on the wagon! I'm determined!

My son is still sick. Tiny fever, but he feels awful and doesn't look too good. So he's home again. But today I'm going to do what I need to do for myself -- exercise, housework. Yesterday I let things slip because he was home. But today I just have to get my things done, even though he's home and will probably be bored, once the Tylenol goes to work. It's a bad virus that he's had since Saturday. But the doctor assures me it's not swine flu. It's such a bad flu season!

When I overeat like I did last night, it makes me think of two things -- one, that my diet plan is not right; and two, that I should one day think about that lap band surgery. I know that's extreme thinking, but I want to get control of myself. Maybe I should totally cut out the carbs again. That worked for me a few years back. I know I need to want it, but somehow I don't. I do and I don't. It's tough! I would love to be able to do this with little to no effort. But how?

I hope everyone has a great day!

Yeah that surgery is for severely obese people. Like 100 lbs. or more overweight. Hope your son feels better. Have a good day today.

It does take effort at first, but after doing it for awhile it gets easier! I hope your son feels better soon. Our school has 24% absenteeism from flu cases! Scary stuff!

How miserable for your poor son. My mother works part-time as a nurse at a pediatrician's office, and she says she the doctors are overwhelmed right now with strep and flu patients. She says that the swine flu is really, really spreading around town like crazy! I'm well stocked with my hand sanitizer and grocery cart antibacterial wipes these days. ;-)

Sorry that your son is still sick, hope he gets well soon. Maybe the Tylonal plus being sick will make him sleepy so you can get your things done.

I know several people who have had such surgeries. Of the three I know two have gained weight back-they stretched the stomach out again. Another is losing but is kind of stuck. She did well at first and dropped a lot of weight but has kind of stopped at 190 pounds for a time. I am not saying this happens to everyone but it does happen. When getting these surgeries you have to be able to really turn your life inside out. I think that it is all about what is in our head really no matter if you get surgery or not. Getting our heads in line is what gets us to stop eating what we know we do not need or really want. I hope you find the plan that works for your continued success.
