I am glad i had more of my baked ravoli last night!!

My blood results came back and were not good.

High Cholestorol, ( not through the roof 211) pre diabetes, and some other issues

Basically I need a clean diet and major revisions to turn things around. I will do it.

I will be taking legal notes on percentages on what I am allow to have to improve numbers. I will get separate data apps to make it easier to track everything

Not a happy day😞

MC Some changes you are experiencing are related to menopause Women’s cholesterol and especially LDl go up We start to accumulate central adiposity meaning belly fat My cholesterol was 311 and I have another lipid abnormality that puts me at high risk for stroke and I have mild heart disease I went essentially vegan and take zetia as I do not tolerate statins I also do HRT which impacts these numbers Data is showing that statins are not as beneficial with post menopausal women as they are with men Last check cholesterol was 194 and ldl went from 192 to 107 The biggest change was due to diet 311—->220 And dietary cholesterol has little to no impact on cholesterol It’s saturated fat intake Good luck with your changes I’m sure it will all work out We are essentially the same age within a few months 😊

Kenna, I am using google to interpret my blood results since this terrible clinic will not call me back, my alt was just a little high, but there could be othet causes. I will go back to my Indiana doctor. You are correct the pre diabetes alone is enough scare to clean up my act.

Like Kenna, I'll defend carbs as well. Whole grains, legumes, veg & fruit are associated with longevity. Making big dietary changes can be hard, but I'd like to reassure you that your taste buds WILL follow your food choices. I've been eating a reasonably healthy diet for a while now, and I genuinely don't crave a lot of the food I used to. You can do this 👍

Thanks from the bottom of my heart for everyone's advice💌, I spent 2 days of panic attacks over blood results and unable to get a hold of anyone in that clinic to go over blood results, I have excellent medical insurance ( although that should not matter). At this point i will continue my new path of cleaner eating and consult with other doctors.

Don’t blame menapause for everything— it still goes back to poor food choices and lack of exercise. Most of us have to make adjustments for whatever changes occur with our own metabolism

You can do it. I'm having to monitor my cholesterol and I have to keep track of my A1C because I'm at risk of developing diabetes. I'm using this app to monitor my cholesterol, actually. The first step is learning (which is where I'm at, too).

I want to add that fatty liver is not from eating fats. When your liver is damaged (usually from things like alcohol or taking large amounts of Tylenol) the liver stores extra fat there. Fatty liver is a sign of damage. When I had mild fatty liver, I was asked about alcohol and medicine use years ago. My liver is better now.

Buradimari thanks a million. I heard back from the nurse. Aporently my liver is fine. I did take tylenol the night before my blood work for aching legs from work. She advised me not too take as many as i was. She reccommened the Medirranen ( not spelled correct) diet- which basically what i started doing anyway.

Sorry about the auto correct errors. Buradimari I don't drink or do drugs, but i will eases up on volume of soda. Appreciate your input👱‍♀️🌝🐈‍⬛

There is an alcohol related fatty liver and a non- alcohol fatty liver that is diet related. There are numerous drugs and supplements that can cause liver damage, OVERUSE/not following dosing recommendations is the major issue with TYLENOL. They put that information on the labels for a reason. Read up on fatty liver. Lots of information out there on the subject.

I had non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, which I was told is primarily caused by overuse of Tylenol. I had cancer as a teenager, so it could have been as a result of a lot of the medications and chemotherapy I was on, which can have long-term effects (Tylenol being only one of them). I don't drink or do drugs, either. My information on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease came from the doctor that diagnosed me as a young adult. Fortunately, mild fatty liver disease can be reversed. Mine is fine now. I'm glad you've heard from the nurse now and your liver is fine. I was also recommended the Mediterranean diet. I've already switched to olive oil when cooking with oil, which I don't do as much.

Thanks Kenna and Buradi👱‍♀️🌝🐈‍⬛, I did good resisting the snack machine at work!! A new journey for me!!

Overuse or high doses of TYLENOL can lead to liver failure — that is why there are dosing schedules on the bottles. It is NOT the primary cause of fatty liver

Bursdmari— didn’t finish my statement on the fatty liver. The doctor who gave you that information years ago was wrong. Non alcoholic fatty liver is caused from (drum roll) OBESITY, POOR DIET DIABETES just like a very large number of other illnesses.. we are killing ourselves with our poor dietary habits. There are almost no diseases or conditions that are not negatively impacted by our food choices.
