Diario de Want2BFit, 09 nov. 09

Day five at work, which is a week in employment days and I have not given in to: Lays, Pirates Booty, organic granola bars or any of the other tempting treats I am so impressed! I was in my first meeting today anxiously awaiting it's end b/c 11am is when the veggie platter comes out. I'm sure it has something to do w. the stress/anxiety lol but I'm always hungry, so I find munching on celery, cucumbers, and what I think is zucchini, but I'm not 100% sure soothing. I love that celery is negative calories so you're actually burning (although small) calories just eating them--and to top it off there was some kind of spicy avocado dip and i heart avocados. I got up @ 5am this morning to workout, but there were clothes all over my floor and I was too groggy so I just putzed around for a few hours before going to work. I even did a little jogging to the train station and had tons of time to spare; I made it there in 15 minutes, sweet! I'm rocking the BodyBugg again since I'm moving around more so we'll see if this is helpful. I'm loving my Shakeology though, I have it in the morning it gives me energy and it's really helping w. my stomach issues; I swear if you have irregularity/fiber/ibs or the like you should definitely try a few days of this and see if it does any good. so I had that for breakfast, had my grilled chicken breast for lunch before that my veggies, I got a little walk during lunch since it was super nice out and then late in the evening when I got hungry with 2hrs to go before heading home I had my second half of my shakeology shake which helped until I got home. I just finished my workout so my apologies for any typos my arms are shaking haha.

I'm not sure if I mentioned this in my other journal, but I set up an assessment w. the personal trainer at my job she's going to do my body fat/muscle/resting heart rate, pushups, measurements and the like. I'm really gung ho about finding out my accurate body fat/measurements b/c thats the only thing that matters right now, I'm slimming down, tonining up but not so much on the scale, so I want to see what I'm working with.

Ladies+Gents there are 7 weeks left in 09, so if you made a vow to lose weight/get healthy 45 weeks ago, its not too late! I say get in shape now and beat the mad dash at the gym, and save some $$$ as the January rates are most def inflated it for the peak season.

what is shakeology?? great news about the assessment with a personal trainer, I think it's a great help you'll get with it! I bought a body fat scale, (I'm still waiting for it) I agree with you pounds are not the only thing that matters. keep up the great job!

it's a meal replacement/protein shake that has over 70 vitamins and minerals in it...I can't do it justice with my horrid explanation, lol, but it really works. I usually buy into the hype of things, but after 3 days I've felt a noticeable difference in my stomach; Check out www.shakeology.com the video is really good I may have a sample if you want me to send it to you ( i know that sounds weird giving your address online, but I don't know how else to get it to you lol). thanks a lot Jessyline, I'm nervous yet anxious to find out what the ratio of muscle to fat is...I finally got my ipod working so I may have to try this treadmill workout during lunch :) how's ur program coming along?

Wow it sounds like you've been a busy lady. You'll have to tell me more about what you do. It sounds like an awesome job. I am going to check out that shakeolgogy. Is that a beachbody product? Have a great day!

Thanks for the tip! I'll go have a look at the website. the new scale should be here on thursday, I'm totally scared of it!!! these days my body is weird. like this morning I gained 4 pounds, no idea where they're coming from :( I might retain some water after the first strenght training of yesterday...

Sounds like your new job is going well...and a personal trainer at work? ...Where do I sign up? I noticed you lost a job last September - coincidentally, so did I. Only now am I slowly stepping back into the work world. I have to go in a different direction professionally, so I've been preparing myself for that. Change and uncertainty...the only sure things. You're doing GREAT. P.S. I like that that pink skirt - and you've earned the right to wear it!!

oh thank you so much! Yes, I'm readjusting to working again and its quite the challenge, I went from total unemployment to a 60hr. work week, I'm so grateful it hasn't triggered any bad habits though. What direction did you have to move into? I know how that is I'm a Liberal Arts major working in Finance so I know how that can be.
