Tuesday, November 10. 2009: I weighed myself this morning, and I went up to 170. something. I am not going to record it because I don't wanna. I didn't count on the slight upswing. I thought I did well yesterday. I have to remember how tough it is to lose the weight that came on so easily. The next time I lose weight, I'm going to stay there or go down. No more going up!!!!

Daily 5:

I have the capability to make my life better. It's in MY hands!

Little things are getting fixed around my house that I thought would be much harder to fix.

No car payments.

My teeth are going to finally get fixed correctly.

I love my hubby! :)

Debbra, your journals make me laugh. I laughed at your statement, "I'm not going to record it because I don't wanna." LOL! Just for that reason, I'm not going to record my food today! (Hint: I went to Logan's Roadhouse with my hubby...I'd be scared to record all that!) What you wrote in red really rings true for me, too, by the way. It is SO easy to put on the weight, isn't it?

It is so true--it takes days and sometimes weeks to lose one pound and only minutes for it to come back! ?You sound determined. Great about your teeth. Ugh. I have bad teeth and even seeing the word makes me anxious. It's a good feeling when you're getting something fixed. It's in MY hands--so true. Good inspiration.

I love these two: "I have the capability to make my life better. It's in MY hands!" YES!!! And, "My teeth are going to finally get fixed correctly." Awesome! Teeth are so important. I'm glad you're getting yours the way you want them.

When I was eight, I fell off my bike onto my teeth and broke my front two teeth in half. After 30+ years of surviving being capped, they've decided that's it. And now I'm having nothing but problems -- root canals, internal reabsorption. No fun! I've been going to specialists because the dentist I had was just not getting it fixed. New problems kept arising. So hopefully, I'll get some implants and not have to think about them anymore. But we'll have to see. The doctors still want more checking and consulting.

WHen I was in my early 20s, broke, no insurance, I needed a root canal in the tooth right behind my canine. So, not front but definitely visible when I smile. Dentist told me the temp crown would come off but I couldn't afford the crown. (Though, in retrospect, I should have figured a way.) Then the tooth broke and I spent awhile without it because I was unemployed at the time. It was so awful. I was so self-conscious. I got a bridge but it would fall off sometimes--in mid-sentence or when I was eating. It fell off and broke two weeks before my wedding! I FINALLY find a great dentist who would take a payment plan and got an implant. It is SO SO wonderful. I still sometimes don't believe that it's not going to fall off. Long process and expensive but so worth it
