I'm back up to basically starting point, thanks to going waaaay overboard on carbs. It's the same old story, do good for a week, lose 5 lbs, blow it for 3 days, gain back 5 lbs. I have realized or have been realizing that when my fridge starts getting low on low carb foods, I turn to other people's food for convenience. It's hard to take my 3 toddlers to the grocery store, my twins are always knocking things over, scream, climb out of the cart, it's no fun. So... Today I think I will do a Fasting... Just drinks no food. That might deplete some of the "water" weight and jump me back into Ketosis. The key is to not give up, not change diets, just keep going! It's a new day, I can start again fresh!

You could try to roll with it Smarty. 3 days good, and one day bad? Then back to three days good. Just a suggestion... works for me eating HP/LF counting for CICO. One day out of the week does not ruin my diet or exercise. But it does allow me the piece of mind of eating stuff outside without going overboard.

Its not the food that is bad for you it seems possibly just bad habits... that die hard?

Hi Warren, funny I love the Costco samples too, but the last time I went, they were not too many of them. Also, they got rid of the trash cans at the gas station ! Why???!!! Haha, it's 7:45 pm, so far fasting is a success!

The up and down is a pain in the butt. I've promised myself some decent walking shoes if I do better for the next month. And if I do okay until November? Oh ma gawd I'm going to go nuts with Sephora's VIB sale ;)
(I'm saving $40 a month by cutting down on Starbucks, and that's going straight into my "Why yes, yes you DO need one more neutral palette ... oh .. what's that? You want that Drunk Elephant skincare line instead? We can do that ..." fund )

Good idea with the fasting as a tool to regain control and get back on track. I might try that to:)

Thanks JLear and Luminous glow, I survived my first fast down 2 lbs of pure water weight, I'm wondering if a second day fast is recommended?

3 toddlers?!?! I am totally impressed that you are able to focus and not give up! Kudo's to you because that would be a challenge for most people. Keep your eye on the goal! You can do it!
