Not really sure what's going on here...
Everything on the food side yesterday was on the up and up... and I walked a mile and a half lastnight for the second night in a row. I just consulted my pill pack and it seems that "shark week" is about four days away. Maybe I'm coming down with the dreaded bloat? In any case, not seeing movement is disappointing when I've been working so hard. Nothing to be done but what I've been doing I guess? Today I'll be working on patience along with my regularly programmed schedule.

Everyone's already said it - fluctuations are normal and a rolling average would show you the trend better. I've just downloaded Happy Scale and it looks perfect, KPW. For this week, don't think of the scales so much but think of the achievements - more walking, feeling ELATED while in the rain, keeping to your food plan - you're doing really well. You have this, Christine!

Well if you've been walking regularly, just by virtue of one's own body weight that will increase the muscle mass of your legs. So, it may still in part, be due to increased muscle mass that the scale hasn't moved. But its also likely you've just hit a plateau, and your body needs to figure things out (that everything is okay it's not going to starve) before progress kicks in again.

sometimes its normal that your body will need time to react with specific exercise or diet plan.

Shark week (love that description) is gone for me too, but the 40 pounds I put on when it ended stayed :(

Christine, You can actually gain a pound of muscle in your legs REALLY EASILY. just by walking. Especially if your heavy. Don't be discouraged at all. You really got this.

Hang in there my body does the same thing, sometimes it is so hard to keep on track.

Tomorrow, I will be posting how exercise and diet are unrelated. How the problem is, that psychologically you exercise, and then reward yourself by gorging food.

Lol you just got me thinking of how when I was in middle school my mother and I would go to my aunts once a week and meet up with her and her friends and do sweating to the oldies. Then after we finished we'd eat the most fattening things. We'd have something different each week, but it was all super unhealthy. These women had it in their heads that the exercise boosted our metabolisms so much that the bad food wouldn't count. Haha that's crazy! I sure as hell didn't know any better at the time.
