I haven't been training hard enough for the spring (my goal of doing a marathon). I slacked after Thanksgiving and didn't train for 3 days. I had a nice distance run with Cheryl on Monday (yesterday) but it was sluggish and rough at the start. 3 days really affected my progress. Today I didn't run. It was my dad's birthday and I devoted my time to my family this evening. I want to wake up in a few hours and run before work. I never get up for that alarm :( Cheryl and I have been push up monsters at work. We started a "dirty word of the day pushup incentive" where we pick one bad word a day. The speaker of the word does 20 push ups on the spot, the hearer does 10. Any time we hear it, even from non-participants, we push. Makes for a lot of pushups in 8 hours. I hope it helps me in my spiritual fitness too. My mouth has gotten disgusting. Day 2 of the pushup incentive was awesome. My abs, arms, chest, back are feeling it. I don't even wanna know how many we do. Our PT test in the spring will show it I'm sure! Hopefully the bad language stops and we'll have to find normal words to pick from.
