Gained 5 lbs in Seven Days.
That is Enough to Piss Me Off.


Last Monday I was 175lbs and this Monday 180lbs....I weigh every day but post only once each week. How can a person gain almost 1 lb each day...I am only eating a little over 1000 kcals. My math doesn't add up....3500 kcals to gain pound I am told, and i am not cheating....only holding at less than 1050 kals...So by rites should not be gaining that much.

A few weeks ago i was close to being in a plateau and broke out of that....Now 5 lbs from my goal of 170 lbs and i will have to lose that extra 5 lbs again....This is enough to make a preacher cuss. Well i am not a preacher but i can pray for divine help.

I have checked over my food log and the only thing i see is my carbs are very high...I am a diabetic and very resistant to insulin....that's the main reason on a keto diet...maybe i lost my focus from that. I now have hunger in the evenings so I know i am not in keto. Before never hungry....Now wanting to eat a horse but still hold my kals down by just suffering some...Or just go to bed early so not to start snacking.

I have to post this here so I will make a commitment that will start a change in my life again...Thinking of doing will not suffice, must be written down to be effective. Today the 13th( not lucky number) I will make this change back to the keto life still and maintain my focus...starts in the brain first.

So far today after all my meals i am at 1.81 Carbs...yes i will be back up and running thanks to weighing on the scale every day i can clip this weight gain in the bud.

wow that is strange. i looked over ur diet calendar and u r eating LOW carbs and HIGH fat and protein so good diet, and also u arent eating more than 1200 cals! what the hell? why did u gain 5 lbs? water weight?? or maybe...ur body is getting used to what ur eating everyday and adapting...maybe you'll hav to shake things up a bit. eat MORE calories, or create a greater deficit. surprise ur body and metabolism

emmy1502 exactly thats way i am confused also....it got to be more than kcals in and kcals out...what i am suspected of is and increase in my carbo that i have been doing latly....that's the only thing i can see....I gained another pound again today....now need to re-lose 6 lbs again. a pound each day what the hell...scared to do a kcal over load so maybe a one or two day water fast to break this gaining. not being in keto and still eating high fat diet must be making me to gain weight also.

yikes. well good luck to you! sometimes its not the numbers on the scale, but ur actual body inches or muscle mass too! muscle weighs more than fat.
