I gotta say this... I'm a bit disappointed that FatSecret allows McDonald's ads on this site. I'm not totally against McDonald's, but MOST of their food is very unhealthy. I think it's irresponsible for a weight loss site to encourage fast food, when, for a lot of us, it is a HUGE struggle anyway. With that being said, WE are responsible for what goes into our mouths, not FatSecret... So hopefully those stupid ads won't entice us too much 😉

I do not think they have control over what is shown and the ads may only show up with the computer app...I see ads from thngs I have recently browsed. Even weirder...

You guys don't have ads at the top and along the right side? Maybe it's an iPad thing? HCB, I hope they don't have control... That would make me feel a little better knowing its out of their hands 🙂

Most sites don't control advertising by specific companies anymore. They're handled by a third party and most programming for advertising is based off your personal search and website browsing history on your computer or phone. I.e. If you search for something on amazon, it'll show up in an ad in another website. Smart stuff. Just wait until a year or two from now when ads will also be based on location....

those ads are based on your web search ... I search shoes all the time so my ads are for uggs and michael kors or lancome.
