Did not log yesterday. Had to work long hours and through yet another bad migraine. Had my regular food for breakfast, lunch and dinner but only stayed alert and alive by munching on a few snack size packages of sweets. This is another problem with migraines. If I can eat at all, sugar somewhat relieves the symptoms. And no it is not just my weaknesses, there is actually scientific explanation to the phenomenon. If only my fat cells could cooperate on these days and not grab all the extra sugar.

Ingria, you are right, concerning the chemical composition of our water, because we have the lack of not only magnesium, but the fluorine as well, that affects our teeth in the destructive way. So people here visit the dentists quite often.. As for the lamp with natural light spectrum - we already have it at home,it's the Finnish lamp with pleasant pinky-orange faint light. It turns on automatically at the time you had set the alarm clock signal,so this lamp at least is a cool interesting thing 😊

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/marlynn-wei-md-jd/10-ways-to-get-the-most-out-of-light-therapy_b_8932782.html Pinky-orange faint light does not sound right. Attached is a link with a relatively short article and a picture. It is a box with very bright slightly bluish light. They mostly recommend it for seasonal depression caused by lack of natural light in winter but my doctor recommended it to treat insomnia. It resets melatonin and serotonin production so it definitely helps with migraines as well.

A few more comments on this migraine post and we have good chances to beat the rice photo. It is definitely my most popular post in 6 years on FS😏

Ingria, I think some of the reason for the sugar craving during the migraines is the speeding of "fuel" rich resources into areas that our nerves are screaming are being traumatised. So we are giving the brain extra fuel, the digestive system, which as you know many migraneurs have stomach migraines caused by the central nervous system branches into that area and I'm sure it probably does something in the eyes as well. We know that nicotine and caffeine can be triggers but that once a migraine has started and the blood vessels have done their dialation routine that both nicotine and caffeine can help because they are vaso-constrictors. It's why dihydroergotomine works when they feed it to people I/V or give it by injection. And excedrin migrain works on this principle. But once the big pharma companies discovered serotonin and started playing with BRAIN chemistry there was no stopping them. The problem with a great many of the newer drugs, all the triptans, is they interact with a great many antidepressants because they mess with serotonin. They also interact with quite a few supplements and people can end up with serotonin reuptake and dead without knowing what interreaction caused it. You're smart to not go there. Magnesium and CoQ-10 are in a different world, but even the CoQ-10 if you are taking some heart stuff, or BP stuff. The magnesium if you have osteoporosis or digestive problems let the doctor know. The melatonin no other sleep aids or muscle relaxers or, or, on that one there is a LONG list...I was getting psychedelic hallucinations and couldn't figure out why until I got a new medicine reminder app on my smart phone that told me in bright red letters!!! Not to mix melatonin with two of my other drugs! And my doctors knew I was taking all three. I just thought I was getting forgetful. 🙄So you rock!
