I'm considering switching to calorie counting.

Back 7 years ago I weight 273 and I ate 1200 calories and worked out for a month and lost NOTHING (crazy but true...weighed and measured everything).

I got scared and had prayed for help and found low carb right after and the weight just started coming off easily even without working out!

I've since been yo-yo dieting for years but have always used low carb to lose and it works for me.

At the beginning of this year I was bored with low carb and wanting to be able to eat more foods so I tried to switch to calorie counting and it happened again!! 1200 calories and working out and losing nothing for a month!

I am looking at my sister and she went from a size 12 to a size 4 just watching her portions, eating anything she wanted, and running 1-2 miles a day.

I'd give anything to have that kind of freedom!!!

I'm considering trying calorie counting again but eating more calories (1700?) I'm 258 lbs so maybe I tried to cut my calories too low...and maybe I need to just stick it out longer than a month. She didn't lose for two months!

The idea of trying to do another diet scares me...I'm so tired of being fat right now but I miss fruit and I want a bagel sometimes for breakfast.

Has anybody else switched diets like this and had success?

Positives: I will always keep "zoodles" and spaghetti squash as noodle replacements & cauliflower rice as a rice replacement
