Ok, so I hadn't shared, but my son was diagnosed with a starburst melanoma about a month ago. He's had 2 surgeries since and was cleared this afternoon. HE IS CANCER FREE! We celebrated with some very much needed drinks (dad &I ) and cookies and cake!

Thanks guys! I'm grateful I saw it on time although if I may be totally honest, it still scares the crap out of me. I mean, melanoma is aggressive. I ask that those of you that pray, to do so, he will need to be watched very closely for the next year (once a month visits) then after the first year, every 6 months with a full body scan every visit. It's not ideal but at least that one venomous spot has been removed. Thank you guys. It's a hard pill to swallow when one of your babies is ill.

My son is the opening pitcher on his high school baseball team, has played since he was 4 years old. He's rebuilding his first car, a '97 Jeep Wrangler and loves fishing! In other words, always in the sun!! He learned the hard way about sunscreen! Poor baby...
