Was back outside walking this morning with DH and doggies....all of us going the full route down by the lake.
Beautiful, early spring weather....sunny, breezy, and just over 60 degrees. It was a bit cool for shorts when we began but I was glad I hadn't worn jeans by the end.
Household chores and taxes are on the agenda for the weekend, along with a grocery trip and grilling out on Monday.
I'm beginning to pull together some things for our Atlanta trip and figuring out what I need to take for breakfast while there. The hotel this year has NO microwave or mini-'frig, so we'll be taking a large cooler and making lots of trips to the ice machine each day. Of course, I could always go downstairs to their restaurant for plain eggs and a breakfast meat, but it's a buffet and I'm guessing it's pretty pricey, not to mention the temptation of full-carb pancakes, waffles, pastries, etc. Just better to have my own brought-from-home breakfast in the room. I have to make sure that whatever I bring along will be OK to eat cold. Last year, I took pieces of spinach quiche/pie and it was fine. I was able to heat it up last year, because our room had a microwave, but I know it's fine eaten cold as well.
While out shopping or going to the zoo, I'll take along water, roasted sunflower kernels, cheese sticks and cubes, and my favorite Atkins bar. I've been without the Atkins bars for awhile now, so it will be fun to have them again...this particular one is one of Atkins lowest in sugar alcohols.
