Journaling is important for several reasons: 1. It helps you keep track of what you have eaten instead of mindlessly grazing. 2. Gives you a place to express your feelings about food and releasing the stress of it. 3. Helps you make correlations between eating habits and what you have eaten. For example...why did I cheat last night? Well look at what you ate and help fix that the next day to maybe increase your calories just a few to keep you satisfied a little longer till bedtime. 4. Weeks where you lose big lbs. Look and see what you ate that week and try to replicate it again, since it worked really well. 5. Keep track of meals that you really hated or loved, to reference later. 6. Just vent in general to get some things off your chest. They are your thoughts...no one knows you...say what you feel and release the tension. Extra stress can keep you from losing the weight that you want to shed. Good Luck!
