Olivia, my almost 16 year old, and I were talking about my day and how my eating program was going. She is has been a catalyist (sp?) to get me started. I told her I can hardly believe it had been eight pounds! I got an idea. I ran to the kitchen and put 8 lbs of dried beans in a Kroger bag and said "Hold this!" "That's eight lbs!! 8 lbs I am no longer carrying on this body! Is that crazy or what??"
Like me, she is severely overweight. I asked her if she wanted to join me, but told her she needs to mentally get her mind around the choice of an eating lifestyle chg. But this week is Spring Break for us. So she said she will start on Monday when she goes back to school. I really don't want to be the food police for her.. so I am putting that in her corner. I will just be the food police for myself. :) AND a cheerleader for us both.
