Diario de crabby Kat, 18 jun. 12

Yesterday's birthday party turned out to also be a big backyard barbeque with all sorts of dishes like guacamole, potato salad, baked beans, along with shrimp skewers, hamburgers, hotdogs, etc. I quite happily ate a plate with fresh pineapple, watermelon, and 1/2 cup of baked beans. I resisted the chocolate cake with chocolate mousse filling with no problem!

The only not-so-good thing was that no one noticed(or mentioned, anyway)that I'm more than two sizes smaller than the last time this branch of the family saw me last time. We were there to celebrate my Dad's widow's grandson's 16th birthday, of course, not to congratulate me, lol.


As good as I was about eating and exercise yesterday (& past several weeks!), I woke up this morning with the scale being quite mean to me. I'll ignore it. Perhaps like HCB suggested the other day, my muscles are holding onto water to repair themselves after yesterday morning's super work-out.

Made a goat cheese omelet with pear & basil salsa this morning; really good. Found the salsa at a local Farmer's Market; green card salsa has awesome flavors!
