I've not used ACV myself but I have been told by a couple of friends that its been key in helping stabilize electrolytes while transitioning to a keto based eating plan.

Right I've heard that too, & my friend gave me the pills but I haven't tried them out yet unless they really work like the drink.

I used to get swollen fingers every night after starting lchf diet. Then I started drinking acv twice a day (1 T in 8 ounces of sparkling water) and the night swelling stopped! Not sure why but I seem to feel better overall taking it.

I take the liquid and make sure it has the “mother” in it—raw type

I don't think my stomach would tolerate it now. Years ago I tried it for my blood pressure and it had no effect.

I drink it raw too with one or two tablespoons of raw honey and I am not sure if that helps me with something, but people say it's good, so. haha

Well, I've tried it and for me, it's just too gross. I'm willing to do some crazy stuff to be healthy and slim, but I'm not willing to do ACV. I've had friends who said it helped with digestion, but I haven't seen dramatic results with them either. I think it may be an individual thing - if you're willing to try it - see if it seems to make any difference for you.

I drink it with water, but I'm not sure if it truly helps weight loss. I'm one of those weirdos that actually like the taste (without sweetener) so I look forward to having it in the evenings, after dinner. I will say that it definitely suppresses my appetite and provides a feeling of fullness that I don't get from just plain water. I hope this helps!

I use Raw ACV & Raw Honey in Green Tea, helps with the taste. Some times I add a little crystallized ginger. Don't expect miracles but it can help. The only thing I would suggest not doing is ACV shots, it's too hard on your tooth enamel. Good luck

When you say, "does it work" what do you mean? What do you want it to do?

Like do you see faster results in fat loss?

@Lovebug: got it. I've known people that would swear by it --- and I just watched a video where it was recommend (check my journal entries for today, if interested) -- I'll be starting to use it in a few days. We'll see! Good luck!!

In terms of “does apple cider vinegar cause fat to be lost?” No that’s impossible. It’s pointless to take if that’s your goal. However vinegar in any form, since it’s very acidic, can possibly help with hunger control. Now, if it helps as anappetite suppressant, that will cause you to eat less calories, which in turn will cause you to be in a caloric deficit, which can aid in weight loss. But ACV does not “cause” fat loss. Mint is also a natural appetite suppressant, and tastes better than vinegar. Here’s more relating to studies on how vinegar affects the body if interested
