I am 29 year old, working full time as a software developer in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Besides working hours (7-8 hrs), I usually spend another 3 hours in front of my laptop to read news, gossips and watch movies. You see, I’m really that kind of desk potato who needs some workout.
I was 67.5 KG/ 148 lbs in May 2007, which is my peak weight. Later I change my diet, to eat more vegetables and fruits and cut the processed foods. Also I begin to commute by riding my bike, which burns ~ 300 calories per day. I reached 57 KG/ 125 lbs in Oct 2007, but I had to stop my cycling as it began to snow.
I gained 2 pounds back after the holiday season, but I quick shed them off once I back on bike in the April 2008. I reached my lowest weight in August 2008, which is 54 KG / 119 lbs.
I continued my bike riding until the end of Nov; I was 55 KG/ 121 lbs by then. But I gained another 4 pounds in the holiday season, and they just refuse to leave me after I started my bike riding from the beginning of Feb 2009.
I signed up the gym membership since Jan 2008. I usually workout 5 days a week, as the gym is in my office building. My daily gym routine is 20 mins cardio followed by some weighting on a non-cycling day. I skip the cardio parts on the days I ride my bike to work.
I also did some hot yoga, but I didn’t do it anymore since last summer.
I went to swim sometimes, but not very often, maybe once bi-weekly.
My goal is to live a healthy and active lifestyle, have a gorgeous body and joyful mind. I hope I could find some fitness buddies here and motivate each other to reach our goals!
