I was born and raised in Chicago, IL. Attended Lindblom Technical High School and was enrolled in their ROTC program and rose to the rank of 1s LT. upon graduation. While in high school, I enlisted in the Marine Corps (1965). After graduation was sent to MCRD San Diego (October 1965).

I was assigned the MOS of 0311, rifleman. Completed one tour in Viet Nam 1966/1967 where I served with Lima Company, 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division from April 1966 to July 1966. Transferred (volunteered) to a CAC (Combined Action Company) 1st MP Battalion until May 1967. Married my childhood sweetheart June 22, 1968. Received an Honorable Discharge in 1969 with a rank of Sgt. E5.

Moved back to Chicago in 1969 and worked for the First National Bank of Chicago, retiring in 2003 as an Assistant Vice President. Moved to Surprise, AZ in July 2003.
