Well, I must admit I was expecting a little bit more of a weight loss but hey ho. I have lost an inch off my hips and an inch of my thighs (I'm assuming both!)so not all static. Here goes another week!

Home made yoghurt! It tastes really good and is full of those wonderful bacteria which are so essential for a healthy digestive system. I wonder if they give the yoghurt its taste?!

Spiralised courgette (zucchini) pan fried with garlic in olive oil and butter, a good twist of black pepper and Himalayan pink salt. Yum.

Woo hoo! After a rather good night's sleep, which I wasn't expecting given how painful my foot was when I went to bed, I woke up to a glorious morning.

So after breakfast I decided to go for my next target. That point on my walk where it is the same distance to carry on as it is to turn back. 1.68 miles! The last half mile or so was a real struggle but I was joined by Hubby and Glen Dog, I nearly asked him to go for the car but I didn't. Achievements come in many forms...

No point in recording my food at lunchtime today, haven't a clue what to put it down as. It's been my first day supermarket shopping for 3 months. Yes folks, strange as it may sound, I was really excited, I got my shoe on, stick and list ready. It's 17 miles to our nearest decent supermarket, I enjoyed the drive (hubby doing the driving, I'm not allowed or capable yet).
He was so patient! Husbands by themselves don't shop the same way as wives and he has been doing the shopping the past months. I was like a kid in a sweetie shop. Hubby complained the shopping cost twice as much. Yes but I bought handwash and toothpaste and the better cheese and the better cooked meat...
My ankle was more than uncomfortable by the time we got to the checkout but it didn't stop me saying yes to lunch out on our way home. I have been incarcerated for 3 months. Home made steak burger, salad, hand cut chips, homemade tomato dip, carrots, sugar snap peas. All very good and not too bad in the scheme of things. It was the two glasses of red wine that did me in. I don't often, I usually have guests to see to but I haven't and this felt like a bit of a celebration.
I came down with a crash when I got home though. Very swollen foot and ankle, painful right up to the knee. Mega headache and a sickly feeling. Probably all down to overdoing it in one day, even though it's a pretty normal day by most people's standards. Never mind, it was another 'step' taken and hopefully next one will be easier.
