Don't think I weighed in last week...scale said 3 different things this morning so I am taking the highest in order to not be discouraged next week..hahahaha. No big change in measurements-lost 1/2" on hips, arms and thighs. None on the belly area. Sigh. Will just keep plugging away. Now 33 pounds from goal.

Well, I weigh every day. Probably shouldn't but can't help myself. I got down to 173--almost at 172 and then Memorial Day weekend hit. We were so busy doing things. I didn't drink enough water, ate a few wrong things and a had a few diet rite colas with a capful of rum. Back up to 174. Went to a jazz concert last night where they have a booth with bag lunches to help out with fund raising for the center. Had the southwest chicken wrap (no forks so couldn't eat it with my fingers so I went ahead and ate it). Had about 1 tbs corn kernels and 1 tbs black beans and sour cream). Not too good Atkins-wise but I didn't eat the fritos, brownie or trail mix that came with it. Just had to do with what was presented. I will probably take my own salad next week. Disappointed but not surprised and not discouraged at weight. Lost another 1/2 inch in the waist and 1/2 inch for the measurement 1" below belly button so all is not lost.
Back in the saddle as of today.

Ok, home now and have my measurements:
Total weight lost in 6 weeks: 15 pounds (I round down! hahaha)
Total inches lost in 6 weeks:
Bust/Chest: 1 1/2
Waist: 4 1/2
Hips: 2 1/2
Arms: 3/4
1" below Belly Button: 2
Thighs: 1
BMI now: 28.08 (overweight)
No inches lost on that dang 1" below belly button measurement this week. I've been researching some exercises for belly flab and will try to start those next week.
I get a little discouraged sometimes but 15 pounds in 6 weeks is nothing to sneeze at. Calculator told me this morning that at 1 pound a week, it'll be 9 months before I reach my goal of 140. That sounds like so far away but it took me 5 years to gain all this, I guess I should't expect it to come off overnight. IT's just that I look at myself and don't really see any changes. I did wear a size 14 to my great niece's graduation and that was encouraging but still can't fit into my favorite size 14 jeans. Sigh. Oh, well. Will just keep trying.
