I'm back after a very busy week at work. Have been really good even though my food diary looks chaotic. Let me explain.
I have accidentally come across Intermittent Fasting. I knew about it before and one guy at work does it one day a week to maintain his weight. I've never considered it for myself as I thought it would be too hard not to eat for 16 to 19 hours.
One day was particularly busy and I couldn't stop to eat my lunch. I didn't really feel hungry because I was distracted. I finally ate my lunch at 5 pm and a small dinner at 8pm. This came to about 800 cal. The next day I ate around 2000 cal. I did this all week and the calories averaged out at around 1400.
Yesterday I went out for food twice and ate what I wanted. Back to "fasting" today - no damage done.
Alternating fast and feast days is quite easy, probably easier than eating low cal all the time. I'm a fan!!!
Forgot to mention that I don't eat breakfast on fast days to stay in fat burning mode that started during the night.

The juicer is still working! I just made a large juice with cucumber, celery, carrots, a pepper, a piece of fresh ginger and an apple. It's not as tasty as a smoothie but you can really feel the goodness of the veggies. I'm too full now to eat dinner! I don't think I could do this for a whole week but I may try a whole day.

I enjoyed indulgence day yesterday, chocolate without feeling guilty! Today I'm back to my healthy diet without any problems. I made a smoothie with frozen strawberries for breakfast and one with raspberries after exercising. Delicious! Tomorrow I will buy veggies for juicing, hopefully the juicer is ok after 2 years at the back of the cupboard.

I had a very hectic day at work but I took my salad in, so no temptation to buy something unhealthy. I've been really good for over a week, calorie and exercise wise. I feel I'm getting somewhere! We're going to visit my SIL this weekend, Saturday will be indulgence day, then back to "normal" on Sunday. I won't go overboard, just a small break from my quite strict regime. I'm getting restless because I don't know if I can fit another exercise session in this week. Maybe tomorrow after work.

When I came home after work the other day, I thought it was too early to start making dinner. Instead of collapsing on the couch, I thought that half an hour of exercise would be good. And it was! I felt so much more energetic afterwards. And being able to see the changes in my body is such a boost, it also helps me stick to my diet. I'm so glad I've got my motivation back.
