My Autoimmune Disease
Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a rare cancer involving clonal proliferation of Langerhans cells, abnormal cells deriving from bone marrow and capable of migrating from skin to lymph nodes. Clinically, its manifestations range from isolated bone lesions to multisystem disease. LCH is part of a group of clinical syndromes called histiocytoses, which are characterized by an abnormal proliferation of histiocytes (an archaic term for activated dendritic cells and macrophages). These diseases are related to other forms of abnormal proliferation of white blood cells, such as leukemias and lymphomas.

Hello my name is Brenda,
I’m 42 I need to lose 50 lbs and I am looking for support not criticism but have had a hard time finding it because I am doing Keto and everyone around me just thinks it’s a fad diet. I have finally decided to something for myself. I have spent years taking care of my family and let myself go, not 100% my fault but I take 60% responsibility for it. The rest of it is my disease’s fault and prednisone for my cancer. I’m now Deaf due to it and started hiding in our house after punching a man in the nose (to be fair he grabbed my shoulder as I was walking to my truck in the dark because I had dropped something, he told me he hopped his wife and daughters would do the same thing and didn’t file charges on me for breaking his nose) We have 5 kiddos only two left at home so since I have free time now I’m more determined than ever to do something so that I am. Healthy! I want my confidence and strength and independence back.
