Made it to the end of the week!
I managed to stay on track with my new workout routine, despite my schedule trying to sabotage me. My meals were "clean", though I feel I might have overate yesterday and today. Tried out a vegan and Paleo friendly banana bread recipe for tomorrow. It got a bit too dark on top but was still delicious (couldn't help having a slice).
Tomorrow, I'm going hiking with some friends, which I'm looking forward to. I will probably weigh in before the hike. After the hike is refeed day!!! Already planned out my food for the day, so I hope I don't go overboard (because it's not a cheat exactly).
Anyway, hope the weekend treats everyone well!

Had a really hearty turmeric and cumin soup (with sausage for extra protein) for today's meal. Feeling really good right now. A little extra carbs in the soup mix to fuel tomorrow's workout.
I've changed up my strength training days a bit. Instead of doing different muscle groups over 3 different days, I'm hoping to do all major muscle groups on the same day, 3 times a week. This has doubled my workout times for strength days, but hopefully it will yield positive results in terms of definition and body composition.
Weighing in and taking measurements on Friday or Saturday this week. Not expecting much of a loss, but I feel like I've lost some cms in the right areas. *Fingers crossed*
Hope everyone is having a grand last week of March!!! This year is just flying by.

Baked sweet potato is amazing!!! I actually don't know if I can go back to eating it any other way, lol! Today's meal is quite colourful, because I just stocked up on veggies and fruit for the week. It makes me happy when my plate has lots of colour on it 😁.
No workout today, but from next month I'm hoping to start working out on Saturdays as well (whether that be a Parkrun, or a jog on the treadmill), to add a cardio day. Also looking to add another meat-free day because I actually enjoy them. Thanks to them I'm slowly getting over my fear of carbs. Though I still don't eat certain carbs, the ones I do eat don't weigh heavy on my mind as "bad foods". I also think adding carbs slowly and strategically, has helped me not gain weight.
I'm definitely eating more these days, but it's mostly vegetables, so I'm guessing calories aren't that much more, except for the fatty foods (peanuts, tahini, and avocado's 😊). Fibre intake is up, and I think I'm getting enough protein. PLUS, I actually like my current diet. It doesn't feel restrictive or forced. I really feel balanced and nourished. I could eat like this for the rest of my life, and that's the most important thing.

A combination of load shedding and unforeseen work cropping up had me eating later than usual today. I prefer to give myself a few hours to digest my food before heading to bed, but sometimes it doesn't work out. I think I may have become addicted to peanuts and raisins as an after-main-meal-snack. I literally have it everyday, and I don't get tired of it. It doesn't seem to be doing any harm to my weight or fitness, so I guess I'll keep eating until I get bored.
Looking to change up my workout regimen, to keep my body on its toes (so to speak) and keep things interesting. I'm thinking of increasing cardio (for fat loss), but don' t want to compromise the little muscle mass I've gained. I'll have to speak with someone that knows better.
Currently planning my next refeed day. There will definitely be (lots of) bread involved 😁, but I want to be smart about the other carbs I take in, so that I don't overdo it like last month.
Anyway, hope you all enjoy the day off tomorrow (unless you're like me and will be working -- have a good one still!!).

Missed today's workout, which really had me down. But I've already planned to do a double workout tomorrow to make up for it. The load shedding and surprises popping up has my schedule in shambles. Trying to get back on top of things, though.
At least I managed to fit in a grocery run, which means I have more vegetables to choose from this week for my meals. I do like a bit of variety.
I had hoped to be down to a size 36 (jean) by the end of the month, but I don't really see that happening. This thigh fat is holding on for dear life and, at times, it's incredibly discouraging. Like, what more must I do to shake it? Feeling really frustrated at the moment.
Though, I hope everyone's had a good start to the week.
