Having reached a comfortable weight for me, I am now in maintenance phase. I gained a few pounds while in Corfu, but lost it in a matter of days upon my return.
My routine consists of:
* 3 days of low carb (70-100g carbs) all eaten within an 8 hour window - usually Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.
* 2 days of Fasting (400-500 calories - my ONLY calorie counting days) entailing just one meal eaten around 3 o’clock. Usually Monday and Friday
* 2 days of sensible but unrestricted eating. Enjoying sourdough toast and fruit of all kinds. Still limiting sugar as my body has become very sensitive to it, causing stomach upsets when I overdo it - an excellent prevention.
In addition I am attempting to go to bed at a reasonable time and get a good 7 hours sleep each night. I have also joined the gym (but only in the last month, so my weight loss cannot be attributed to that in any way) to keep my body moving and tone what’s left. There’s also a sauna at the gym. As well as for hormesis and detoxification, It’s also extremely relaxing, so I feel like my four pillars of health, diet, exercise, sleep and stress management are all taken care of with the above routine.
