Diario de Djburney, 01 dic. 12

It's a beautiful day in the Valley of the Sun. I'm heading out to a huge arts and crafts festival in downtown Tempe with my mom this morning, hoping to find some unique Christmas presents. Movie this afternoon, although I'd rather go hiking, but I don't think mom could keep up.

I found a wonderful trail yesterday, pretty steep, and I didn't have any trouble with it! My new knee is holding up beautifully, I think I'll email my ortho surgeon to let him know. It's been 18 months since I had a total joint replacement, and I've been given another chance at a good life. Another 30 pounds off of my knees, and I might be able to delay replacing the other one for years and years. I was in incredible pain before the surgery, and now, none. It was hell getting through it though.

I ate less yesterday and guess what? I lost a pound. Funny how that works.
