Keep up the fight! Not to cast doubt, but how does Metamucil cause weight gain? Does it have a lot of sugar? I don't get it. 

Psyllium husk, which is used in Metamucil has 25G of carbohydrates per serving. They say that the fiber it provides offsets the carbs. But in my case offsetting carbs with protean, fats, fiber doesn't work. No matter what it's with carbs cause me weight gain.
