I often wonder why I do the things I do. Sometimes I think it doesn't matter why, just quit doing it. Other times I think I need to figure it out so that I quit doing it. Up almost a pound. I suppose it has to do with the box of girl scout cookies I ate. Haven't binged in a long time. Don't know why I did it. Bored? Tired? Discouraged? All of those things BUT WHY did I choose to lose control instead of going outside and doing something? I did log them and feel like I'm back on track today...

I too have that problem. Nearly caved with the girl scout cookies last week too, but I made the decision not to buy them, even though the little devil on my shoulder kept telling me the kids would love them. The angel won out though! Baby steps. Sometimes its three steps forward and two steps back. Hang in there and keep busy. That helps me.

I'm in the same boat! The 'covid' 20 got me... as long as we are aware, we've got this! With Spring on the way it'll be so much easier to budge that scale in the right direction :)

Give yourself a little reward!! I opened an online savings about with a credit union, Pentagon Federal, and every time I do something RIGHT (like NOT having a GS Cookie -- I LOVE GS COOKIES!!), I transfer $5 into that savings account. It's amazing how motivating a little base bribery can be!! It's only been three days, but I already have $30! It's fun to see that little account start to grow. And once I reach my goal, I am going SHOPPING!! Even if you can only afford to put in a dollar, or just a quarter, think of all the ways you can reward yourself for making RIGHT decisions: Keep to your meal plan = $. Go for a short walk = $. Forego the cookie and have a slice of cheese or a glass of water = $. It's probably going to take me the better part of seven or eight months to reach my goal (85 pounds). By then, at roughly $10 a day making GOOD choices, I'll have a stash of over $2,000 for replacing my old wardrobe with stylish, well-fitting clothes. Or, maybe if the pandemic is over by then, I'll take a vacation to someplace really NICE!! Watching my account grow and dreaming how I"m going to reward myself is a lot better than beating myself up everytime I fall off the wagon. Besides -- you need to reward yourself IMMEDIATELY when you make a good choice. Like having a slice of low-carb toast instead of a big bowl of oatmeal. And that little bit of money in the bank or jar can really help get you past that "I don't wanna!!" when your inner "coach" says go for a walk. Hang in there!!

You have almost half the weight you once had. Lots of people are jealous of your transformation. Lots of people have days like these. This post could have been mine too. Posted again and again tens of times over the years. Days like this just take a deep good look at a full body mirror. As much as it takes to forget food, forgive yourself and realize the tremendous change you achieved.

we all mess up!! anyone who says they haven't, is lying to you. honestly, I find for myself binge eating is due to boredom, stress or even being stuck home (quarantine haha). I've been pretty good the last two weeks with distracting myself but sometimes I just want to box of cookies lol. don't be too hard on yourself!!

I don’t know about you but the only way I can control myself of those things are in my house, I just totally can’t. Best thing to do is never bring them in. I hope you enjoyed them at least that part I hope you enjoyed them because what’s the point of having something I’m feeling guilty about it later.

Some days when we all are dieting we lose ourselves in the moment when we want that particular food now. However, I tend to do that a lot. Then again I forget what I was suppose to be doing.

Hi there. Don't feel bad, those Girl Scout cookies get me, too. I have the biggest sweet tooth. When I beat myself up over it, I always try to remember Jillian Michaels' 80/20 rule. It makes me feel like I can "cheat" a little bit. Hang in there. We are all with you! Have a great day! :) https://www.jillianmichaels.com/blog/food-and-nutrition/no-brainer-ways-cut-calories

Not everyone will agree, but I think we all need a day here and there (not regularly, but once in a while) where we give ourselves permission to eat exactly what and as much as we want. Depends on the person (could lead to chronic binging) but in my case, it makes it easier to get back to lower-cal and weight-loss-friendly foods consistently one I've had that break.
