flat weigh in to yesterday which is always good.

My Intermittent fasting is going steady, the window closes now at around 8.30pm and opens around 12 for lunch. This means 2 main meals of around 400ish calories. That leaves some extra for little snacks during the day. The only thing I wonder is that since I don't actually weigh my food how accurate am I being. I try to keep my logged calories at around 1000-1200, so leaving plenty of room for margin of error.

the weekend is coming up and as i tend to weigh in a bit later the number tends to be a bit lower. Great for those two days, not so great during the week. I'm finding that since starting IF'ing I'm not as hungry as I used to be. Just around my meal times I start to get a bit cranky. Last night I was out and didn't get home till around 7.30 so dinner was later than usual at around 8. I noticed I started to get a bit cranky in the car.

Tomorrow I've got a friend I haven't seen in a while coming over so looking forward to quite a luxury lunch :)

I have found the same results with intermittent fasting and believe that this is key to my successfully losing weight steadily where in the past I have not. I am really surprised at how little I need to eat to maintain a healthy weight. I also do not wake up hungry and have learned how to listen to my body signaling that it is hungry . I am now trying to learn how to feed my body and not my emotions!

got the munchies - I totally am 100% with you on that! There is a big difference between hunger, thirst, and emotional eating - the down side is they all present themselves fairly similar. If I do "give in" to emotional eating then I at least make it something good for me and something rich enough that I get satisfied. For me a few small pieces of 99% pure chocolate or a teaspoon of peanut butter does the trick. How long have you been IF'ing?

I started last fall mainly as a curiosity as I read about it on FS. I found following the standard advice of eating many small meals throughout the day was only making me more hungry. I used to wake up ravenous and now I rarely get extremely hungry like I did before which would only trigger binge eating.

Funny... I was just thinking this morning how I used to wake up and the first thing I'd need to do is put something food related into my mouth. Be it a spoon of peanut butter or whatever. I often did this totally mindlessly. I tried IF'ing late last year but it just didnt' work out at the time. This time around I find it much easier and actually am really enjoying it. Last night I nearly forgot to eat dinner! Have a great week!
