A loss... grateful.. looks like I am gonna be saying so long to the 240's soon and that is f'in cool to no end.. really.

On another loss note... my children lost another grandparent this week...having lost my mother(56) at the end of 2004. Both were unexpected and sudden...with no time to adjust to the thought of losing them. Both were amazing lovely people.
My former father in law's funeral...was nothing short of amazing. A celebration of love, life and laughs. He was certainly the most generous man I have known.. and had a true weak spot for the brokenhearted. Childhood friends, his sons, pastors former and present spoke and shared. We laughed and cried..but mostly laughed. Sadly I had to leave halfway thru the funeral (I had to set up flowers for a wedding) but it went for 2.5 hours...wow. It was so very special. If my funeral is half the celebration and full of sincere love and respect as his... I will have lived my life very well.
