Not sure if you are going up on purpose which would be a good thing or if you are trying to go down and just had a bad patch. Either way, this app has been useful to me, but requires almost constant effort weighing and recording every single thing. 👍

Thanks, DobbyZ, I had a really rotten last 15 months with family issues and deaths 😌, which undid all of my previous work. Previously, I went from 165kg down to 116 in an 11-12 month period, using this app. It is brilliant, and now I think I've nearly learnt to cope with my emotional/stress eating habits, I've decided it's time to redo it all over again. I know I can do it, it was just getting into the right frame of mind, so here I go again 😁

I’m with you every step of the way, it’s just eating less than you need, but not too much less. I have been a lifelong dieter and know it inside out and there’s nothing to it except wanting to do it. You know that too, your earlier achievements makes you a professor at this caper. It’s all about truly wanting to do it. I can debate myself in my head and win every debate regardless of if I want to slim down or just don’t care. I’m a little too smart for my own good. Fortunately I’ve got a sort of regimented brain that likes to keep the most useless records, a spreadsheet nutcase 🤪 This app or any of the other trillion ones out there or even a sheet of paper as I did more than 40 years ago when I started dieting, is a help. To me personally, I get almost as much fun out of adding each entry as I do in eating the food. My last comment, don’t know if it’s my age or upbringing or middle class pressures, but I don’t think I have ever left anything on the plate. If it’s on the plate I eat it. Well of course when I’m being good, I use smaller plates and put less on it. Now that I weigh it all it’s really easy. The greatest thing I have learned in recent times is to not eat too little. Once you work out your goal weight, stick to it, don’t eat less, don’t eat more.

Again, thank you for the kind, helpful words. I, too, grew up in a house where if it was on your plate, it was eaten, and I still have that ingrained in me.

I'm sorry you have been through a very bad patch. Come on now your better then that don't let things get you down even though it's hard. When you are challenged with bad things in life try to grab healthy food instead of crap food and no alcohol try zero instead I like wine I only have wine with alcohol on a very special occasion I have zero alcohol wine as my wine. Dig in and fight back you can do it. You got this.
