Day 36 or 60.
This is a big milestone for me. Today my weight dropped into double digits. I keep my weight in pounds here on FS (much more inspiring to lose a pound than 450 grams), but in Japan everything is metric. And this morning I hit 99.8 kilograms. That also means that I am halfway to my goal weight. So, yay for me!!
This is the first time I've dropped below 100 Kg since my nearly successful try on the Atkins diet some 5-6 years ago. That time I hit this weight just a week before heading to the U.S. for summer vacation. Once I got back to Japan I decided to get serious and drop the weight I had gained on my trip, and just about the time I got back on track, my wife got sick and ended up in the hospital for a month. Running both the house and the school by myself on an 18-hour-a-day schedule, and having to cook for the kids put an end to Atkins. And within a year, I had gained back everything I had lost. I spent the next five years alternately ignoring my weight and making false starts trying to get back on Atkins.
This time around, I'm determined to keep off the 40 lbs. I've lost, and keep working until I get rid of the 40 I've still got to lose.
