after being sick for a month and getting addicted to sugar again through cough candies. then onto an addiction with peanut butter. hopefully to get back on track.

Yes, most cough candies are high in sugar which is bad because sugar is not good for the immune system and not the best thing to coat the throat with when fighting bugs. Once someone told me this, I switched to sugar-free cepecol lozenges and the sugar-free Buckley lozenges. Not perfect cause of the fake sugar, but definitely seemed to help a lot with the throat. I know there are now some you can get that are made with real honey....honey is fantastic for the immune system and for healing....for me, honey can play with my blood sugars so I stick with the sugar-free pretty much.
