On Sunday I weighed in at 144.2 - my scale wasn't broken! This morning, as I stepped on my scale, I was feeling good. Confident even. I watched the blinking display as it decided how much it wanted me to weigh. The blinking stopped and my scale showed me once again it wasn't stuck on a single weight. I stared it it. It stared back - unwavering with its steely digital gaze. It dared me to flinch at the number it showed me. I countered by kicking it. How could I be up 2 pounds in three days? Maybe the heat and humidity is working against me. I won't let it get me down though. It's not much of a gain so I should be able to get rid of it if I try a little harder. Oh well. Anyway, happy summer solstice everyone!
