Oh my gosh I've been there, I hovered around a significant goal on my weight loss journey for nearly a month. It was so tempting to just give in and console myself with food. I finally changed my routine to shake things up. I work 10-6 now so that I have time for exercise in the morning before work. I also use that time to pack a lunch so I eat healthy. Not saying you should try that but maybe a change of routine, even temporarily? Shake things up?

Definitely feel your pain! So much goid advice and ideas on this site. The key is to find what you think you can manage given your preferences. I have just added exercise after plateauing. Found Walk Away the Pounds on YouTube and it's a great place to start. Also, counting calories is what I'm doing. It gives me the freedom to eat basically whatever I want as long as I stay within my calorie limit. I went to another site to calculate a target number of calories to lose weight according to my height, age, weight and gender. Down 37 pounds since July with 75 more to go! Don't give up. I know you can do this😊

Katamori ... I think you are right. I need to shake things up and get back on track. You are right about losing the site of the goal. Shake shake that booty? I really appreciate the words. Kmking40 ... thank you also ... great information.

It's within your grasp. You have the power. Know that it's worth it...you're worth it. Experiment, see what works best for you. Since I have type 2 diabetes now, Keto is what's working for me. Before I was diabetic (years ago) a low fat, low calorie diet worked and I lost 180 lbs. but went back to eating crap and gained it all (plus some) back. I've found that I can do Keto lifestyle for the rest of my life. It suits me. Hoping you can find what suits you. Never give up.. keep fighting!

Just keep on track . I too plateaued and I had started eating a bit more than usual and wasn't tracking. I let it go for a few weeks which was okay but as soon as I got back on track I started losing again. It does get slower, plateaus are inevitable but you can do it - give it a bit of time and stay with it.

What about taking a break from the scale, and instead working toward non-scale goals? E.g. food choices to lower joint discomfort (if you experience this), or increasing endorphins through walking a few times a week, or something else that takes work then feels good?

Sounds like a re-boot is in order. I have had to re-boot several times, and I have used a variety of things to do it. I go back and re-read journals or I look at what I was eating when I was being successful at weight loss. This site is perfect for that - it has my entire history - and all I have to do is look back to find it. Sometimes I need to look harder for my re-boot - that life inspiration that makes me feel worth investing my time and efforts into my life. Good luck on moving forward on your journey!

I heartedly agree with T8U9. Don't track weight....give yourself a timeout and track something else.... pedometer...#of healthy meals in a day etc....set a goal for whatever you choose and reward yourself when you reach it...and then you can add back other goals maybe even weightloss. I am sure that whatever you choose to track and you remain successful in doing so, you will see a correlation on the scales.
