ALL CALORIES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL

A true critical scientist at heart, I rarely follow any instruction blindly. Because I am willing to use myself as my own lab rat, my results in power me to debate and inform others with more than a "someone told me so". So when a member on fat secret was following a HCG program was having a drastically different result than me, I reviewed the food intake and saw it included a great deal more carbohydrates and fewer calories than 500. I knew being under 500 calories will cause stagnation, but this was an opportunity to prove that "all calories are not created equal".

TEST DAY INTAKE:
88% of my RDI of 500 calories, which is 440 calories
75% Carbohydrates
6% Fruit
19% Protein

Although I was under the 500 calories, I consumed way more starch-based carbs than fruit/sugar carbs and actually went up .2lb instead of losing the 1lb daily as recorded on my previous two weeks.

This proves that the body will still override our intentions and save fat if it believes famine, and two, not all calories are created equal because even when under the daily allowance of 500, if it is primarily carbs, you will not lose!

It is important to limit your "breads" and "fruit" carbs, which on my traditional plan means 1 bread and 2 fruit AND AND consume 500 calories!

And added tip: If you can keep the fat intake to a minimum, you will see even greater results. I focus the bulk of my calories on vegetables and fish/seafood. I have noticed that beef includes way more fat and chicken has higher caloric count than fish/seafood.

Good Luck!
