Diario de newnormal, 12 nov. 15

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." ~ Buddha

This made me smile today. I have heard it before but it always makes an impact. I believe and have seen firsthand that when you understand and recognize your blessings, no matter how small, and really appreciate them, you tend to get more good things added to you. Whether we look for the good or look for the bad, we tend to get it.

It's very easy to get ourselves pulled into the "I'll never do it" or "Nothing good ever happens to me" mentality. I know someone who always expects the worst in life since it's what she's experienced. And yet when positive things happen, she still has a "well, that won't last" or "yeah but I only got a little" attitude.

Be grateful in the small things and the large things. It will make you happier, if nothing else.
