Diario de Bionici, 19 sep. 24

There was so much good food at the family reunion on Saturday,...too much. Fried chicken, various casseroles, desserts, and the list goes on. Also, we had 3 meals at restaurants during the time we were gone, and 2 of them were at Tex/Mex restaurants for 8 - 10 of us in the family. My wife says all Tex/Mex tastes the same and does not really like it. I tend to agree, and generally will order shrimp fajitas as my option. Love them. The 3rd was at Chick-fil-A, and even that was not exactly low caloried. My father always said when he came to our house for a week it always took him 2 weeks to get the additional weight off. 😁 Well, welcome to his world. So far (and I've been good since getting back home), I've dropped 6 of the 10 gained. That seems like a lot, but much of it is salt and some higher protein / fat meals. Getting back on my bike for 3 days has helped, and I played one round of golf. It felt so good to get back on the bike, and give my legs a good workout. The golf was another story since I played like a very bad beginner. And that's really odd since I have a lower handicap. So, I should be back on track by next Monday or so.

We also got the latest Covid booster yesterday, and will get this year's flu shot next month. Hope all have a great week. God is good !!

I love rich food but get tired of it quickly. It makes me feel drug out.

Morticia, that is exactly the way I felt. Saturday and Sunday AM, all I could think of was having a bowl of raisin bran crunch. My wife and I have very normal eating habits, and try to maintain about 1500 - 1700 calories per day. Friday and Saturday were in the 3000+ category with too much rich food. It is good while eating, but afterwards I just wish I had not eaten so much. Hope you and your husband are well, and that he is better.
