Diario de Charry Lou, 14 abr. 10

I need or want to record all the food I ate yesterday, but I have a busy day and if I use the chart to record all it will take me from now til forever. So for today I am going to record food in this journal entry. I come up with a total of 1795 cals. for yesterday which is just about where I want to be -- 1800 to 2000 cals. Oddly, when I put my weight and height in, the site told me to lose 1 lb. a week I could have 3100 calories a day. Well, I want to lose 2 lbs. a week at least and not eat 3100 cals a day. BREAKFAST CALS 205

OK breakfast 1 cup wholegrain oatmeal & 1/4 cup strawberries and 2 T skim evaporated milk
lunch: 2 turkey dogs, 1 Tumaro's multigrain tortilla. (This brand has a low carb tortilla that is net 4 carbs per each, and since I am diabetic type 2 this is perfect for carbs). medium bowl salad with fresh veggies, added 1 cup green peas and 2 T fat free dressing CALS FOR LUNCH 500.

snacks: 1/2 cup walnutrs, 2 cheese sticks TOTAL CALS 540

dinner: healthy choice chicken parmesan, 1 cup homemade red lentil soup with 2 tsp grated parmesan cheese 1 cup peas total cals 650

EXTRA: drank 64 ounce water!!!

OK, I am excited as the 10 lb. challenge starts on Thursday, and since my first day was good, I think I can build on that. I would like to inch down to maybe 16000 cals a day, but am OK at 1800 for now.

Hi Charry Lou. Still trying to figure out this site. I am looking around still. I have done horrible today here at work with the food. A lady in my office had a tastefully Simple party last night and brought in all the left over dips/cakes/crackers/ you name it. I have no will power at all to stay away. That is my down fall here at work. I do stay pretty healthy. I usually never order out with them. They are always getting fast food. I bring my own. I usually stick to Lean Cuisines and salad. I just need to find more "me" time to exercise. My youngest boy just started soccer and that is Tues. Thurs. and Sat. and with me working full time and hubby working nights it is hard. I am wanting to loose 20 pounds or at least 10 to 15 lbs. by July 1st. Thanks for inviting me here. I am looking forward to getting to know this site. Take care.

This place IS really confusing, Deena, but I am sure glad I found you and could add you as a buddy. My grandaughter has lost 40 lbs. and I guess using this site. I have signed up for the 10 lb. challenge, too, starts tomorrow eh? I got to get back to the Y. We'll hopefully help each other figure this place out. Charry Lou

Fatsecret is notorious for over-estimating your necessary calories per day, possibly so that people do not get the idea to eat 8 calories and some ice chips every day. make sure your lifestyle is marked as sedentary, even if it isn't, and then, if that's still not working for you, you can go in and manually change your calorie per day goal. Or just know what you need to do, and keep it in mind. =).

thanks, Angela. Re calories per day, I am just going to figure 1500-1800 and to heck with the machine. So far, so good but I can "crash" from this plan at any time. Hope not! love, miama
