Overweight with a lot of challenges-- physical disability, depression, pain issues. But I know losing weight will help with health, pain relief, and self respect. So here I am.

Reasons I want to lose weight:
1. I want to feel good about my appearance again.
2. I'm disabled with chronic pain; weight loss should reduce some of that pain. It certainly won't hurt.
3. If I'm ever fortunate enough to own a horse again, I want to be riding fit. I think my front-heavy weight accumulation has really messed up my balance.
4. I want my SO to see what I used to be, and what I hope I can be again. He likes my "curves" (I call it fat; he's much kinder than I am), but acknowledges that I'd be healthier without them.
5. I want to be healthier. I have enough health issues I can't control; my weight shouldn't be one of them.
6. I want to be able to wear clothes I like again and not be embarrassed in them.
7. I want to be able to wear a bathing suit without feeling ashamed.
8. I belong to an historic recreation group where we "play dress up" in historically accurate clothing. I want to look good doing it. Having a waist again would help that.
