Last night, Sue showed up. She had taken Walter to emergency surgery, and she was coming apart. I offered her leftovers for dinner, and she was thrilled. Then, I decided on some wine after all.

I had lunch out today at the Peasant and the Pear. I ordered a shrimp appetizer with butter and capers and bread. There was a lot of bread and only 5 shrimp. It was a waste of money, but I don't think it was too fattening. And I had a Sedona chicken sandwich. Chicken with green peppers, chipotle sauce and avocado. And lettuce and tomato. I don't think that was too bad either. I ate only half and had a salad on the side. Still, I can't think how many point all this was. I had coffee for my beverage.
Later, I was going to augment my leftover salad and have that for dinner. Instead, I ended up eating zucchini bread for dinner.

Saturday, I had a chicken sandwich and pickles for lunch. Then, we went to Sue's mom's memorial. After, they served Boar's head sandwiches and chips and fruit. I had most of a sandwich. Shared the turkey with Toto. Then, we stopped off for ice cream. And that turned out to be dinner. I had 1/3 package crackers and cheese (Ritz) and 2 multigrain crackers with Boursin. And then 2 cups Boom Chicka Pop. And, of course, wine.

Yesterday did not work out like I thought it would. I went to Ed and Merry's. Tami had fixed snacks: salsa, guac, bean dip, corn chips, virgin strawberry Margaritas. Happy Cinco de Mayo. For dinner, I finished off my yam with some ham. Went to bed early and woke up early. Today, since we decided to go out for Mother's Day, I am concentrating on using up a lot of what is in my freezers. Making roasted chicken and green beans with bacon and onion. Will bake a small potato in the oven at the same time. Fat free sour cream, etc. And later this week, I will make a big potato dish to use up some of those potatoes I have.

I ate the last of my enchiladas for lunch today. Well I did make an extra enchilada casserole, but I used Sprouts enchilada sauce. Don't ever buy that. I dumped that casserole down the garbage disposal. All of it. I am making zucchini bread, like I meant to do days ago. But I had not defrosted enough zucchini. I think I need to adjust the servings on that. I planned for 18 servings of 1/2 inch each for each bread pan, but who can slice the bread that thin? Not me. Now I am planning for 12 servings from each pan. Makes a lot more sense. And today will be a wine day. I was disappointed to learn that Irene did not want to come to my house for Mother's Day dinner, and she made some lame excuse. Oh, well. She didn't want hamburgers. Not that I was not planning to fix several other things. I don't have a whole serving of yams left, and I doubt that my ham has all those things in with it - the sugar and wine and all - but I don't know how to account for what is really in it. It is just a glaze. So I finally put that recipe into the recipe builder, and I was right!!! It is not as evil as I had portrayed it on earlier days.
