Been a while since I recorded a 'real' journal entry. So I thought it was time.

Followed my diet really well the first week, but the second week my girlfriend was leaving to go back to school so I took her to a great spa hotel the weekend before she left and my diet went down the drain. However, Ive been back on track the last week and things have been going well. I just have four more pounds to lose by Sept. 9th to complete my first challenge on FS.

The highlight of last week was definitely my outdoor run. There is a big lake in town and I ran around it non-stop for the first time ever on Saturday. It was probably a 4k run and thats the longest Ive ever run outdoors(I usually do all my running on a tread mill. I find that even though the outdoor running surface can be uneven with random inclines etc. I can do more because my mind is occupied with the outdoors. Watching people run, the trees, animals etc. makes the run so much more interesting than when I run in the gym.

Things are a little fragile in my relationship right now, but exercise helps me ward off the stress and make better decisions too. I hope I can see an improvement in my performance in the gym or running outdoors each week!!
