It was an emotional, challenging week! You know those days when just everything that can go wrong goes wrong? That was the type of week I had. Remembering: It was a bad week, not a bad life. I pushed through all of it and did not feed the emotions with food. Friday was just the straw that broke the camels back. The day started off with a squabble with a close friend about boundaries. :( Then I got stuck in a huge thunder storm and couldn't do half of what I was supposed to do. Getting back to the shop I realized I forgot my tablet in one of the stores I bought stock from. OMG!!! This day just did not light up! Luckily I got my tablet back. That would have been an absolute shit storm. My entire life is on that tablet!!!
BUT I PUSHED THROUGH IT ALL! Had a good cry. Dusted off the tears. Pulled myself together and marched on (WITHOUT FOOD).
Saturday rolls by and what was supposed to be a 10am to 1pm class, turned into a 10am to 3pm class. By this time I am starving! (And exhausted) Went to lock up the school; I forgot my keys at home. NICE LOLA! Fetch my keys; lock up; day is done FINALLY! NOW its 4pm! I just decide, fuck it, and I drive to Pick n Pay and guess what? I buy all the wrong things and binge eat the rest of the evening. VERY DISAPPOINTING! For the rest of the weekend I just stuffed my face, still counting calories and told myself "At least stay in your 1800 range PLEASE!!!!!" I am sure I did not. The scale will tell the truth on Wednesday!
Today is a new day. I screwed up for the first time in 3 weeks and that is something to actually be proud of. Even though I screwed up I didn't break my one rule... NO COCA COLA!!! I didn't have any sugary sodas!!!! That's another small victory.
Yes, I didn't stick to the plan for 2 days, but that does not mean I failed. It just means I lost focus; I stumbled.
So today I am back in the saddle and will just have to work a little harder to make up for the two days I didn't stick to my deficit.
There are still 218 days left in this marathon!

Making choices for the good of oneself is not always the easiest choice, but it is still YOUR choice.
You have a choice to stay and you have the choice to walk away.
THE CHOICE IS YOURS! Choices are not always easy, but IT STILL REMAINS YOUR CHOICE.
You cannot blame others for the choices you make.
You cannot blame someone else for your unhappiness if you choose to allow their toxicity & negativity in your life.
You cannot blame someone else for being unhappy, when you allow them to use, abuse & manipulate you.
YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM! You have a choice! You have a voice!
DON'T LOWER YOUR STANDARDS TO PLEASE SOMEONE ELSE!

Sorry for OVER-journal-ling today.... I am stuck at home in bed!
I don't always have time during the day to prepare meals, so I am trying to come up with meals that I can take to school if I have full day classes and I don't have to time to prepare meals.
So here goes. (I don't eat bread, pasta, rice, potatoes (high carb foods) during the week at all. Those I save for Saturdays/Sundays; ONE PORTION A DAY!
(So I had bread yesterday, so I will have to give one serving up this weekend)
100g Lean Beef Mince (pick n pay) (Prepared 250g)
20ml All joy tomato sauce (60ml on 250g) / I use a 30ml shot glass
20ml Lite Chutney (60ml on 250g) / to measure fluids
20g Feta
2x large eggs
(250g Lean mince was cooked in water with some Worcester sauce spice, 60ml tomato sauce & 60ml lite chutney - really delicious) >> no added calories of oils & butters.
Omelette cooked with olive oil spray & cook.
(I try to focus on not adding extra calories to my meals with oils etc, so that I can use my calories for whole foods)
I cooked 250g lean mince, which totaled to 360g with sauces, water, etc.
I divided the mince into 3 100g portions (My cat was happy for the 60g :) )
Total calories per serving: 458cal
I find it very hard to eat breakfast every morning. I am normally hungry by 1pm (school break time too). This meal will sustain me to at least 7pm.
Try it. It is really YUMMY >> fast & easy to prepare. :)
What you think?
