JUST HAD A "HOLY SHIT" MOMENT!
Only when you start eating & drinking consciously, will you realize that some of the "diet" / "low cal" / "low fat" products on the shelves are LOADED with sugar / carbs.
Thought I would treat myself to a bottle of Bonaqua pump LOW KILO JOULE peach flavoured drink. LOW KILO JOULE MY ASS!!!!!
I almost had a heart attack when I returned to the shop and logged it.
108 calories for a 750ml bottle of LOW KILO JOULE WATER!!!!!!
30 CARBS (Nice for screwing up my carb intake for today)
27 SUGAR
The food industry is bullshitting all of us.
How many people drink this LOW CALORIE WATER thinking it's healthy???
That is almost the same calories, carbs & sugar as 250ml of coke!!!
If you are trying to lose weight, PLEASE NOTE that flavoured water is NOT always the HEALTHY option.

Didn't have breakfast. I struggle with that one, especially this morning after exercising.
Here is the LUNCH! 2x large eggs/50g bacon/100g mushrooms/1tbsp butter/1/2 wheel feta
Calories: 497! (Including a cup of coffee with 30ml milk & 1 tsp sugar)
That was just too much food for me. I was full when I got to half of the meal.
Definitely not doing 2 eggs again!

NEW WEEK! NEW CHALLENGES!
Let me just get into it. For the past couple of weeks I have been waking up so depressed and just listless. Apart from my relationship being... I don't even know what to call it anymore... We don't fight & argue, we merely co-exist. Well apart from that... there is really NOTHING that should be making me so depressed.
So this morning I decided that I was going to add some exercise in the morning just before I do anything else and see if that does not help with a little more serotonin in my system. I AM SUPER UNFIT!!!! lol* I did 15 minutes on the Wii Dance Mat and burned a mere 50Cals. If I wasn't all dizzy and disorientated after 15 minutes I think I would have carried on. I will just keep to my 15min twice a day. LOVE THE DANCE MAT!!!
Then I got on the stationary bike and gave it my everything for 3min, but it didnt record anything on the little box thingy (because I didnt set it before I started). BLUHHHHH!!!!
Well for me 18 min of exercise is 18 minutes I haven't done in forever.
So good for me for actually making a point to DO SOMETHING!
Just a quick question to all the fitness gurus; do you eat before or after exercise? The LAST THING I want to do now is eat. I feel dizzy and disorientated AF.
Let's hope this helps for the depression.
I really have a problem to eat at least 1 200 cals a day. I am cutting back way to much. This is what I do every time and I KNOW its not good for your body at all. Strange to say that when you are trying to lose weight... "Lola you really need to eat all your calories; at least 1 200"
I set my menu out for today and yet again, I barely reach 1000! You think 1000 is okay?

Really struggling tonight.
Too many "bad things" in the kitchen tonight. During the week F & I each make our own meals and I ensure that there is NOTHING in the house that will tempt me. I make sure that I buy healthy alternatives to snack on if I really must and I plan my meals well in advance. But his kids spent the weekend with us and we had a braai last night and there is still a lot of meat left in the casserole. I had a really good meal last night and this afternoon and nothing justifies me having more.
So before I make really unhealthy decisions, I grabbed 400g of watermelon.
I feel very disappointed if I cannot control these urges to eat, when I know full well that I am NOT HUNGRY, but I just want to eat. :(

I am proud no matter what the scale might say today.
I have stopped drinking fizzy sugary drinks all together, not even allowing myself a sip. Fizzy sugar is BAD FOR ME. There is NO REASON to include it in my diet.
I am drinking a lot of water, which in the past, I would not even have a glass a day.
I have religiously stayed in my 1 500 calorie intake every single day.
I have had a good handle on my complex carb intake. From having "slap chips" at least 3 times a week... toasted sandwiches at least twice a week. After having at least a 2l Coke a day. After having either a grilled cheese or a peanut butter sandwich every night before bed.
I have made dramatic changes AND STUCK TO THEM!
I am proud no matter what the scale might say today.
I have taken a giant step.
I AM PROUD!!!
