Today is the start of me counting calories for the 5th time in my life. I've started in 2015 and I relapse everytime but, today I've decided to use this tool differently. Instead of believing that I'll have to track my calories for the rest of my life. I will use it as a way to learn portion control and how many time of the day to actually eat. No more skipping meals, binge eating, eating when bored or any of the bad stuff.

Also tracking your macros can help you alot!!! I'm a sugar addict and found that eating more protein helped put an end to that and keeps me from feeling hungry all the time. Took about 3 weeks for it to kick in, but I think this time I'll be successful where other times I failed too because I thought diet meant punishment! You can do it! You'll learn alot from others out here too until you find what works and what doesn't. Welcome back!!!

That's right! Slow and steady wins the race and if you take a detour once in awhile, so be it..just get back to it and you'll see results. Glad your back.💜

All the best. CICO, great protein, lift weights, drink water. Stay the course with gains and losses because there will be both!! Don’t worry about either too much, be consistent is key!

I can so relate, Nandita18! I have been there done that. I am so committed this time. You got it right this time. After we get where we want to be that is good for our bodies, we should know how to maintain. Portion control IS the key. You can do this because you know what works for YOU. I'll bet you can remember what triggered you to cause you to give up. For me at 69 years of age, I can't do some the physical things so I do the things I can do. Like walk, ride a stationary bike. During this pandemic we are asked to stay home a lot. So we improvise. Lift weights by going to the pantry and finding something to lift that is a good weight to start with. Good luck to us both!

You got this! Counting sucks but it works and keeps you engaged with your goal. I’ve never had a real weight problem but always go back back to counting when I reach my upper limit weight. For me, maintaining a weight is harder than losing. The minute i feel safe, the weight returns. Never give up and you will be ok.
