Healthy Life Moment of Gratitude: Mobility. Over the past decade, I’d watched my mother’s mobility deteriorate and after a knee injury I believe was rooted in weight pressure, I’d gone through a period with a cane myself. Even when “okay”, I was always very conscious that I couldn’t keep up. I chose to avoid group walking situations and would often say “go ahead and I’ll meet you there” for team lunches. Feels great to move as much and as easily as I want to.
