So much to catch up on!

Back from vacation, and a horrible one at that. Went to the beach, but didn't see the sun once. In fact, thanks to Tropical Storm Lee, it was windy, rainy, and thunder & lightening the whole time. It was so bad that we got up early and came back home a day early, even though we paid for the entire time.

So, as expected, I gained some vacation weight. This is probably the first time this has ever happened. I typically do not, I must have been making up for something!

I know that this morning's weight is a temporary gain due to vacation, so I am not recording here, but I did write it down. I endulged a little too much in the past 4 or 5 days, so I am hoping that most of this recent gain goes away quickly within the next few days. Back to reality and Induction for the next 2 weeks. No sugar, flour, rice, potatoes, vodka, etc.

Last week, I had a physical set back as well. On Monday, I was in the kitchen when all of a sudden I was in the most excruciating pain from my knee. I had to go lie down, put ice on it and take ibuprofin. Went to work on Tuesday, and it just got worse. Wednesday morning I got up and couldn't walk and at that point I made an appointment. I have quadriceps tendonitis and patellofemeral syndrome. What that basically means is extreme pain in my knee, no working out, I have to wear a brace, and physical therapy 2-3x/ week for a month. No fun I tell you!

I decided to actually log my weight from yesterday and use that as a new starting point. After all, it's like Dr. Phil says, you can't change what you don't acknowledge. So here it is, on the internet for all to see.

Good thing is, I'm down 1.4 pounds from yesterday! Talk about instant gratification, or at least as close as one can get.

Today is Induction Day 2. I'm bound and determined to stay on track. I never thought I would see the 160's again (eep!), it's been 4+ years since I weighed 160+. I will get it back down to 150, and then keep going till I finally make it to goal.

Since I can't run or bike yet, I am going to start doing some upper body weights, probably use my P90X videos, minus the jumping, running, lunges & squats until I get clearance from the Dr. At least I can burn some calories! I might even take a look at the Core Synergistics video to see if that looks like something I can do, although I doubt it. But we'll see. I've got to remain positive and optimistic!
